Carcavelos/New York - The Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) is launching a dual degree with the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University. The program spanning two years combines the study of management and technology. Graduates may be able to work in America for up to three years.

Porto - Portugal’s Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, or INEGI, has created new, innovative systems to detect rail failures, slope changes, and obstacles on lines for the country’s railways. These systems are part of an effort to improve predictive and preventative maintenance to improve safety, services, and cost.

Lisbon - President of the Swiss Confederation Viola Amherd has met with Portugal's President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and Prime Minister Luis Montenegro. President Amherd emphasized the major contribution made by the Portuguese community in Switzerland and the positive development of bilateral economic relations.

Lisbon - AI firm Quidgest is partnering with the Association of Portuguese Graduates and Researchers in the Nordic Countries, or SPOT Nordic, on research, knowledge sharing, innovation, and logistical support. The partnership will include €7,000 research grants, an annual event, and collaboration between Portuguese and Nordic companies.

Vila Nova de Gaia/Matosinhos - Kopke has won the World Luxury Award 2024 for “The Library Collection”. Omdesign conceived the concept and design of this collection for the oldest port wine house. The Library Collection has also won the Graphis Design Annual.
