Mértola/Berlingen - The Terra Sintrópica project in southeast Portugal has received a Recognition Award at the One Health conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome. Co-founder and board member Katharina Serafimova is implementing the same concept in Lake Constance as well.

Langenthal - The textile brand lavie, based in the Swiss canton of Berne and founded by textile entrepreneur Oliver Balsiger and designer Cornelia Stahl, has presented its new Linus curtains. The semi-transparent curtains are made from 100 percent European linen.

Torino/Zurich/Porto - The SHIELD project aims to improve the safety and resilience of Europe’s hydrogen infrastructure. SHIELD is coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Torino. Participating organizations and partners include INEGI and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

Chicago/Coimbra - American company SRAM recently laid the cornerstone for a new 25,000-square-meter factory in Coimbra in central Portugal. Expected to generate 500 jobs, the factory will partner with the University of Coimbra and the nonprofit BIKiNNOV Association on research and development into circular economic business models and operations.
