Lausanne/Chavornay/Porto - SMM Soudure Spécialisée SA and the Portuguese company Energest are working together to recover more than 30 megawatts of thermal energy for Lausanne’s district heating network. Two heat exchangers are being developed and installed for the project.

Porto/Lisbon - The Portuguese Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering (INEGI) is developing a retractable landing gear made of composite materials for Tekever. The landing gear will be used as part of a drone intended for civilian and military missions.

Basel - The Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP) has participated as an exhibitor at Swiss Biotech Days for the first time. AICEP’s stand aimed to position Portugal as a competitive and innovative player in the life sciences sector.

Bern/Porto - Quinta da Boeira is celebrating Portugal Day on 10 June in Bern together with the Embassy of Portugal in Bern and AICEP. At the event, the wine producer will showcase port wines from the Douro region. The highlight will be a tasting of a 230-year-old port wine.

Zurich/Lisbon - The Julius Baer Group is now represented by an office in Lisbon. The asset management firm expects the country’s strong growth trajectory to be sustained. Up to now, it has served customers in Portugal from its Madrid office.
