Porto/Lisbon - The Portuguese tech company Coreflux has raised 1.2 million euros in a financing round led by Armilar and Portugal Gateway. The company develops technologies designed to accelerate data connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT).

Zurich/Vila Nova de Gaia/Famões - Zurich-based Skincode AG has opened its first pop-up store in Portugal. The medical skincare store, located in the Farmácia Gaia Jardim pharmacy in Vila Nova de Gaia, was designed and installed by the Portuguese company Decorpublic.

Dübendorf - Gonçalo Catarina, a researcher at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) in the canton of Zurich, is developing a mathematical model for nanographene, a novel type of quantum material. The Portuguese young scientist has now been awarded a two-year Empa Young Scientist Fellowship for his theoretical research into these molecules.

Lisbon/Amsterdam - The University of Lisbon is driving innovation in Portugal, says the ULisboa Startup Impact Report 2025 developed with Dealroom, a Dutch company developing startup-tracking software. Among the university's alumni are entrepreneurs who founded four out of the country’s six unicorn businesses worth more than 24 billion Euros.
